Outstanding is the only word needed! From the moment we arrived we were warmly welcomed. The bar and restaurant have a chic upscale feel with wonderful windows with spectacular views. The portions were large and we were quite full by the third course. The salad, beef filet, and tempura shrimp were highlights. The desserts were unique and creative. We had to split one and take the other home. Highly recommend you plan a visit to this wonderful new shining star in Charlemont, MA!

The Perch is an absolute gem. Huge kudos to Howard Wein and Co for bringing this unique place to our area. We went for the first time and fell in love the moment we walked in – the space is warm, intimate, and beautifully designed, with plush seating and cozy seating nooks, a gorgeous bar and stunning mountain views.

Tuesday night found me perched, quite literally, at Hinata Retreat’s signature restaurant, The Perch, and I can confidently say it was an experience that exceeded expectations. Newly constructed and boasting breathtaking views, The Perch offers a spacious and modern ambiance that immediately sets a tone of relaxed elegance. Beyond the exceptional food, the friendly and attentive service truly elevated the experience. Our server was knowledgeable, helpful, and genuinely enthusiastic, adding a personal touch that made us feel welcome and valued.

We had a gorgeous evening the other night with visiting family. You guys are a gift. Everyone was warm and gracious, and the food was fantastic. You’ve created the kind of experience we’ve been hoping would find these slow hills. Elevated and poised, just like your name. And the space is so sinkable. Cozy and sparkly. A place to simply be and rekindle a bit. It’s a joy to live in this area, and even more of a joy to have a place that feels fresh and forward. We’re so glad you’re here, and so happy to feel the momentum you’re bringing with you....

We had an absolutely incredible meal and evening at The Perch. It was wonderful to have any expectations we came in with completely blown out of the water. We were even generously comped some prosecco to cap off what was one of the most memorable nights out we’ve had in ages. I could go on about how great the food was, but it all boils down to the chefs’ eye for detail—not only was everything beautiful to look at, but each dish exemplified how great food can be when all the components, both flavors and textures, are ideally balanced. I’m already looking forward to returning for our next big occasion, hopefully when the days are longer so we can take advantage of the beautiful mountain view.

Run don't walk - incredible everything. The tempura shrimp was the warm hug I didn't know I needed until that warm feeling came over me, and I think I shed a tear. And don't get me started on the orange, pistachio cheesecake! Howard has done it again... what a gift to The Valley - I can't wait to go again.

Outstanding restaurant! We did the tasting menu! Options are chefs choice and he did not disappoint, perfect selections So good. Craft cocktails are fresh, perfectly chilled. High quality ingredients. Do not miss a chance to come to this Outstanding restaurant. Service was top notch!
